Waterspout Spotted In Singapore
Waterspout was spotted in Singpaore from 2.20 to 2p.m on May 25th 2007. It could be seen as far away as the high rise offices in the central business area. The phenomenon lasted for 2 to 3 minutes and vanished as suddenly as it appeared. According to wikipedia, waterspout is an intense columnar vortex that occurs over a body of water and is connected to a cumuliform cloud. In the common form, it is a nonsupercell tornado over water and brings the water upward. Waterspout is weaker than most of its land counterparts.
