K.I.S.S was a Korean pop female trio that was formed by Mini, Umji and Jini. Their first single album, “Because I Am A Girl” was a huge hit in 2002, which can attributed to its melodramatic video of sacrifice one can make for love. This video spread like wildfire over the internet and becoming a very popular music video. This helped to launch the career of KISS by sending the song to the top of the charts and an album quickly followed. However, the group quickly disbanded after their one and only album in april 2002 because of internal squabbling.

The girl in this music video is Goo Hye Jin (Korean model) and the guy is Shin Hyun Joon (Korean actor). There are many versions of this song that were produced in many languages, such as english (lyric was written by Jini), mandarin, cantonese, japanese and even taglog.
