Fugu is a Japanese dish prepared from the meat of puffer fish or porcupinefish of the genus Diodon. Puffer fish is lethally poisonous if prepared incorrectly because it contains lethal amounts of the poison tetrodotoxin in the internal organs and the skin. Therefore only specially licensed chefs can prepare and sell fugu to the public. Fugu has become one of the most notorious dishes in Japan cuisine even though hundreds of people die each year from eating Fugu.

Every year, thousands of dolphins are confined and brutally killed by slaughters in small towns across Japan. These slaughters take place in fishing towns including Taiji, Iki, Ito, Futo and Izu. Slaughters always use spear thrust or knife slash to injure few of the captives to retain the group of dolphins since dolphins never leave their injured family members. Dolphins meat are later sold as meat in restaurants and market. How can they do this to defenseless dolphins?
