Tsar Bomba is the Western name for RDS-220, which was the largest and most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated. It was developed by the Soviet Union for a demonstration of Soviet scientific, technical and military power of that time. The bomb had a yield of about 50 megatons of TNT and it was codenamed Ivan by its developers. The bomb was tested on October 30, 1961 in Novaya Zemlya, an archipelago in Artic Sea.

Even after being mortally wounded, he lifts his camera and tries to continue filming the event. He truly cared about getting the story out to the world, even if it meant that he wouldn’t survive. How a human being can just point blank shoot at innocent person for no reason. Bring the murderers of this journalist to justice! Rest in peace Kenji Nagai.
